Production

Cholayil produces quality products in the Toiletries, Personal Care and Health Care segments. The manufacturing units are spread across states in ten different locations. Manufacturing in all the units are governed by the principles of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Staff are well qualified and thoroughly trained to monitor and enforce strict quality norms at every stage of production. Our soaps manufacturing units are certified by the Government with GMP Certification.

R&D/Lab

Cholayil has a state-of-the-art R&D Centre, equipped with modern instruments, accredited by the Govt. of India. The R&D team is constantly involved in lining up a number of new products covering both Ayurvedic and Cosmetics ranges. The Cholayil Pvt. Ltd. Herbal & Pharmaceutical Testing Lab is India's first private testing laboratory approved by the Drugs Controller (Government of Tamilnadu).

Cholayil Medicinal Plant Conservation Park

Medicinal herbs are sourced from the Cholayil Medicinal Plant Conservation Park, a 120 acres well developed farm having plain forestland on one side and the 50-acre water reservoir on the other. Surfing the lake, there runs a 3000 feet canal covering the entire northern boundary. Apart from orchids and ornamental plants, Cholayil Herbal Garden houses hundreds of medicinal plants as well.

Cholayil Group has taken upon itself the challenge to develop this Conservation Park as a “Model one” and make it as a place of interest on the maps of researches, scholars, academicians and admirers of Ayurveda and botany.

An Ayurvedic product manufacturer cannot cultivate all the medicinal herbs used for production, at their own farm. The aim of the Herbal Garden is to develop into a good referential farm where one can see authentic, recognized medicinal plants. One of the objectives of the Cholayil group is to cultivate and grow herbs to meet their exacting standards and compare the quality of herbs purchased from other sources.
